Leh Ladakh the ‘Snow Desert’

Leh is the land of pure atmosphere that offers treasured memories to the visitors. Ladakh is a high altitude mountainous region lying between the Karakoram Range the Great Himalayas. Leh is popularly known as the ‘Snow Desert’. For close to a millennium, it was an independent mountain kingdom of strategic importance.

Ladakh experiences considerable fluctuations in the day and night temperatures, even during the summer. The region at an awesome altitude, ranging from about 2,750 meters at Kargil to 7,672 meters at Saser Kangri, is known as the coldest dessert of the world. While the days are pretty warm, sometimes even hot due to the effect of the rugged topography.

Leh is well connected with New Delhi (India) by flight.

Queen's Park Swizzle.

This cocktail originated at the Queen's Park Hotel in Trinidad,  Regardless it is an amazing drink, especially for warm weather.

Combine in tall, 12-16 oz glass :

  • 3 oz dark rum -- I used Plantation Barbados rum
  • 1/2 oz lime
  • 6-8 mint leaves roughly torn
  • 1/2 oz demerra simple syrup
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters.

In the bottom of the glass put the mint leaves, the lime juice and the simple syrup and muddle slightly to release the mint oils.
Add the rum and with a swizzle stick mix the rum/lime/sugar/mint mixture for at least 30 seconds..

Pour in about a cup of shaved or very finely cracked ice and swizzle between your palms until the glass frosts..

Top it off with the bitters which will result in a slightly layered drink, rum/mint on the bottom, ice in the middle and a layer of bitters on the top. Garnish with a lime slice and a big spring of mint..

Aerial Aerobatics by Aircrafts.

Aerobatics can be performed by a single aircraft or in formation with several others. Nearly all aircraft are capable of performing aerobatics maneuvers of some kind, although it may not be legal or safe to do so in certain aircraft.

Aerobatics consist of five basic maneuvers: Lines (both horizontal and vertical), Loops, Rolls, Spins, and Hammerheads. Most aerobatic figures are composites of these basic maneuvers with rolls superimposed.

Zakynthos Island - Ionic Sea

The beautiful island of Zakynthos lying on the south of Ionion Sea. On the west of the island there are some awesome places with blue water which once you have visited you will always want to go there.

The best way to visit those places is by cruise trip which will guide you to the best spots and you will have the opportunity to swim in places like “Shipwreck” which can only be reached by sea.

Cruises remain fully booked so be careful to book as early as possible!

Cubic Watermelons

In Japan, farmers of the Zentsuji region found a way to grow cubic watermelons, by growing the fruits in glassboxes and letting them naturally assume the shape of the receptacle. The squareshape is designed to make the melons easier to stack and store.
